
Michaele James is a partner at StrataFusion with a passion for creating strategic technology solutions focusing on internal/external customer experiences and cost optimization. She directs her technology passion through advocacy as an active Board Member of the San Francisco Society for Information Management (SIM).
Prior to StrataFusion, Michaele James served as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Renew Financial, a leading provider of Residential Property Assessed Clean Energy (R-PACE) financing in California and Florida. Her leadership drove the stabilization of the fragile and neglected legacy systems, creating predictable availability, high product quality and the elimination of 30% annual excess tech spend. She led the implementation of a governance structure to complete the two-year deployment of a risky Ukrainian-based SaaS loan origination solution.
Michaele previously served as Chief Technology Officer at CSAA Insurance Group, successfully creating the enterprise-wide systems foundation for competitive digital solutions. Named one of 2017’s Digital Insurance's Women in Insurance Leadership, she also has been twice recognized as a "Forever Influential Woman in Bay Area Business" by the San Francisco Business Times. Other leadership roles include key contributions at Sun Microsystems (IT VP, CISO, Strategy & Architecture), KPMG, and EDS.
Michaele earned a Bachelor of Science Business Administration, Quantitative Methods & Statistics from the University of Denver.
