Lars Rabbe is a distinguished IT executive with over 40 years of technology leadership experience spanning financial services, retail, and software/hardware sectors. He is a recognized industry expert in SaaS/Cloud Computing, global IT operations, and large-scale IT transformations.

Throughout his career, Lars has held senior executive and CIO roles at prominent technology companies including Skype, Yahoo, Lucent Technologies, Fidelity Investments, Intuit, Redback Networks, Octel Communications, and NeXT Computer. At Skype, he led the global technology group through the eBay spin-off and subsequent acquisition by Microsoft. At Yahoo and other organizations, he has been responsible for developing large-scale advertising and billing systems, as well as the overall strategic direction and execution of global information technology infrastructure, data centers, and networks.

Lars has successfully developed, acquired, and implemented enterprise-wide systems across multiple industries including high tech, financial services, media, and retail. He has managed organizations exceeding 1,500 employees across more than 50 countries with budgets surpassing $1 billion. His proven track record as a change agent encompasses expertise in mergers and acquisitions, business carve-outs, and both onshore and offshore outsourcing initiatives.

Leadership and Community Engagement: Lars co-founded the Consortium of Information Systems Executives (CISE), a peer group for Bay Area Chief Information Officers created in 2004. He has also served on the Committee for Economic Development's Digital Connections Council and holds both master's and bachelor's degrees in computer science from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.

Animal Welfare Advocacy: Lars served as CIO of Maddie's Fund until his retirement in July 2020, continuing afterward as a Technology Advisor. He has fostered the use of technology for over 16 years to gain interoperability between funding organizations, shelters, and technology partners, with successes in adoption, education, search, healthcare, and connecting networks. Lars also served as a board member of the Humane Society of Silicon Valley.
